In climbing gyms, ropes are subjected to repeated stress: frequent use, friction, falls and daily handling. Thermocore technology, which bonds the sheath and core together, significantly reduces sheath slippage, where the sheath moves in relation to the core.
This construction improves the rope’s stability and helps reduce premature wear, providing greater durability under intensive use.
Thanks to an optimised balance between the sheath and core, URBAN 10 maintains smooth running and excellent handling. Its 10 mm diameter provides a reassuring grip and reliable locking response in compatible belay devices, making it comfortable to use for both lead climbing and top roping. The rope also maintains its diameter over time, ensuring consistent performance throughout its service life.
The Dry treatment protects the rope against moisture, perspiration and dirt, which are particularly common in indoor environments. It helps reduce darkening, preserve the brightness of the colours and maintain a soft, pleasant feel.
