Cousin® develops your industrial project

A high-performance industrial textile cable project?

Our design office develops your product with you.

Our process

Submit your request using our contact form:

  • Requirement
  • End use
  • Environment in which your product will be used
  • Desired technical characteristics
  • Desired length and diameter
  • COUSIN® brand or white label

Our design office will then examine the feasibility of your request.
All technical and mechanical criteria are analyzed, including raw materials, assembly, construction, processing, finishing, and packaging.
If development is possible, the sales team will send you a quote and a delivery timeframe.

Once the quote and technical file have been approved, a prototype can be tested before being sent to you. We can have your product certified by the organization of your choice.

All our products undergo rigorous laboratory testing: breaking strength, impact strength, elongation, flexibility, knotability, sheath slippage, water shrinkage, etc.
All tests comply with the various ISO regulations and European standards in force.
Additional tests can be carried out on request.

Your request is ready for industrialization.
We are committed to meeting the deadline.

Textile lifting ropes now rival steel cables and even surpass them in many industrial applications. Made from high-performance fibers such as Dyneema®, Technora®, or aramids, these ropes offer breaking strength equivalent to that of steel, while being four to five times lighter. This lightness greatly facilitates handling operations, reduces the risk of injury, and improves efficiency in the field.

Unlike steel, textile ropes do not rust, do not deform under prolonged stress, and do not require lubrication. Their flexibility allows them to be easily wound onto winches and pulleys, and they do not damage the hands of operators or the surfaces of lifted loads. Furthermore, in the event of breakage, they do not whip dangerously like metal cables.

Used in sectors such as maritime, construction, offshore wind power, and heavy industry, these new-generation textile ropes are a safe, durable, and high-performance alternative to steel cables. Thanks to the continuous innovation of specialized manufacturers such as Cousin Trestec, they are now establishing themselves as an essential lifting solution for demanding professionals.
